There are no specific laws about drones, but if the cops think you’re creating a public risk by flying your drone, you could be charged with a Reckless Endangerment, which can carry a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
There are no laws at the moment on flying Quad-copters (Drones) in the State of New York. We suggest you follow community-based safety guidelines, as developed by organizations such as the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA)
